John Kovalan

Senior Director, Technical Training Services

Kovalan is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and has 40 years of consulting and operations experience. Prior to employment with JDC Power Systems, Kovalan was the President and Owner of LP Management Services, a company providing Technical Electrical Safety Training and Lock out tag out services across the nation focusing on Data Centers. Kovalan diversified LP Management Services to focus on employee safety through the development of SOP’s, MOP’s and facility assessments. Kovalan also worked 14 years for Wausau Insurance Companies, a leading provider of insurance services. Kovalan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Technology Degree from Ball State University. He is a credentialed outreach instructor for the Construction Safety Council of Illinois and also for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) with 10 and 30 Hour General Industry courses. Kovalan is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Director of Operations

Koziczynski is a Board Certified Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST) as well as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). Prior to JDC Power Systems Koziczynski worked for LP Management Services for 8 years specializing in LOTO and electrical safety and transitioning into a management role the last 2 years. He previously worked for 7 years in food manufacturing. Koziczynski graduated from Benedictine University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Senior Critical Systems Consultant (LOTO Lead)

Dennisson is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Prior to JDC Power Systems Dennisson worked for LP Management Services for 3 years. Dennisson’s primary duties focused on internal training of new hires as well as being the lead technician in the field as it related to lock out tag out procedure writing. Dennisson is a 9 year veteran of the Navy’s nuclear power program, having served as a Machinist’s Mate and First Level Supervisor. Dennisson gained considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of various mechanical systems including steam, water, air and radioactive systems. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and is Lean Sigma 6 Green Belt certified. Dennisson specializes in Lockout Tagout procedure development and mechanical training.

Landon Williams

Senior Critical Systems Consultant (Training Lead)

Williams is a Board Certified Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST) and NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP). Prior to JDC Power Systems Williams worked for LP Management Services 2 years. Williams’s primary duties focused on high level electrical safety training and Lock out tag out procedure writing. He is a 12 year veteran of the US Navy Submarine Force and is currently a Chief Electrician’s Mate in the Navy Reserve. Landon is a highly decorated instructor from the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program and is a qualified Master Training Specialist specializing in electrical theory, operations, and troubleshooting.

Valentino is a Board Certified Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST). Prior to JDC Power Systems Valentino worked for LP Management Services for 2 years. Valentino’s primary duties focused on high level electrical safety training to data centers in the North East. Valentino is a ten year Veteran of the US Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program where he served as an electrician, instructor, and Chief Petty Officer gaining invaluable experience in safety as well as a wide breadth of technical expertise. After the Navy, he attended West Virginia University for Multidisciplinary Studies and was appointed Director of Development at West Virginia Wesleyan College allowing him to fine tune his instructional and educational experience.

Ryan Thurmon

Senior Critical Systems Consultant

Prior to JDC Power Systems Thurmon worked for LP Management Services for 2 years. Thurmon’s primary duties were to produce Lock out tag out procedures and electrical safety assessments with focus on Dell and Masterlock. With four years as a Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician aboard the USS Harry S. Truman, Thurmon honed his troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments. His exceptional technical expertise earned him the Navy Achievement Medal. Prior to his military service, he spent over eight years in residential construction, overseeing projects and providing hands-on training.

Jonathan Stickler

Safety Consultant

Prior to JDC Power Systems Stickler worked for LP Management Services for 2 months. Stickler’s specializes in writing clear, field-ready Lockout/Tagout procedures, drawing on both technical training and prior construction experience. Stickler spent five years in music publishing, developing strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and process control before making a strategic transition into safety consulting in 2025.

Matthew Schirtz

Critical Systems Consultant

Matthew Schirtz is a 10-year veteran of the US Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion program where he served as an Electronics Technician and First Class Petty Officer, gaining expertise in electronic instrumentation and control design, and troubleshooting. After the Navy, he attended Excelsior University for Nuclear Engineering Technology. He has nearly 10 years of post-military experience in critical facility operations, maintenance, automation systems, and training. Matthew’s primary duties focus on high level electrical safety training for data centers on the East Coast.

Dan Macomber

Critical Systems Consultant

Dan Macomber is a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer with more than 22 years of experience leading high-performing teams in nuclear operations, engineering, training, and organizational improvement. Throughout his career, he served aboard five submarines across three classes and held senior leadership roles responsible for reactor safety, maintenance, personnel development, and operational excellence. Today, he brings that same commitment to leadership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence to JDC Power Systems, where he is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional results.
