Senior Controls Engineer – Critical Power -Switchgear & Power Systems

JDC Power Systems is seeking highly experienced Senior Switchgear Engineers for our Dallas area and Wake Forest, NC offices.

This role is critical to the design, application, and execution of low- and medium-voltage switchgear systems for mission-critical power applications.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority on switchgear systems, supporting design, manufacturing, and field execution. This includes ownership of complex switchgear lineups, transfer schemes, and system-level integration across electrical, controls, and mechanical disciplines.

This position requires deep experience in switchgear design, commissioning, and real-world system behavior, as well as the ability to lead technical decision-making and support high-visibility projects.

Mechanical Engineer - Switchgear & Power Systems

JDC Power Systems is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Hackettstown, NJ office. This role focuses on the mechanical design and coordination of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution equipment, and control enclosures—with particular emphasis on electrical-mechanical integration using EPLAN and industry-standard design tools.

The position combines practical mechanical engineering with the coordination of complex electrical layouts. You will translate electrical schematics and control requirements into mechanically sound enclosure designs, verify bus bar routing and phase spacing, and ensure all components fit within enclosure constraints.
The role requires attention to detail, comfort working with incomplete or legacy drawings, and the ability to translate multiple inputs into coordinated, manufacturable designs.

JDC Power Systems is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our Hackettstown, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to develop practical mechanical design skills in the switchgear and power distribution industry.
In this role, you will support the mechanical design and coordination of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution equipment, and control enclosures. Working under the mentorship of senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling, drawing interpretation, enclosure design, and bus bar layout verification.
This position offers structured on-the-job training, exposure to real manufacturing challenges, and the opportunity to contribute to build-ready designs that ship to customers worldwide. You will work closely with electrical engineers, controls specialists, manufacturing, and field service teams to understand how mechanical design impacts the entire product lifecycle.

The Senior Applications Engineer will actively champion electrical equipment proposal opportunities from inception through Equipment Drawing approvals. Opportunities will include multiple product lines consisting of High Voltage Equipment, Medium Voltage Equipment, Low Voltage Equipment, Power Transformers, Controls and Monitoring as well as Field Service and assist Sales team with closing large complex projects with direct customer interaction. Position will require engineering discussions with end users, general contractors, consultant engineers, other equipment vendors, utilities and others as required.

Field Service Technician FSR3

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician FSR3 to support our customers' field operations. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and service electrical systems, industrial controls, and related equipment at client sites. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of power systems and delivering high-quality service, with a focus on resolving technical issues and supporting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience in electrical systems.

Field Service Coordinator

Support day-to-day Field Service operations with a primary focus on ERP management, operational coordination, technician support, and job tracking within NetSuite. Serve as a critical operational link between Regional Managers, Field Service Technicians, Project Teams, and the Field Service Coordinator to ensure accurate scheduling, time entry compliance, task creation, and operational visibility across active field projects.

This position plays a key role in supporting field execution by helping maintain accurate operational data, labor tracking, reporting, and workflow management within NetSuite to support billing, workforce planning, project execution, and operational efficiency.
